Frequently Asked Questions 

  1. Is this purely a face-to-face event? 
    Yes. We are delighted to be returning to face-to-face events this year and hosting the annual conference at University of Warwick. However, OR64 will be offering highlights and certain speakers on demand, enabling you to rewatch videos or purchase them after the event at your convenience.

  2. Are any of the event sessions recorded?
    Elements of the annual conference will be recorded, such as plenary speakers and key highlights. Recordings will be made available to delegates following the event. 

  3. What Coronavirus measures are in place?
    The annual conference will be closely monitoring current or new government guidelines. In accordance with current Government advice, Warwick Conferences are implementing a carefully planned, phased approach to reopening their venues. This includes reinforcing their already exceptional standards and setting out new safety measures when running events to help keep everyone safe. Please note, coronavirus measures may change dependent on new restrictions or advice.

  4. Where is University of Warwick?
    Four miles from Coventry City centre at the hub of the Midlands motorway network. It is also within easy distance by car or train to Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford Upon Avon. 

  5. How accessible is the University of Warwick? 
    We aim to make the annual conference as accessible to the broadest possible audience. You will be able to inform the ORS Event team about your accessibility needs during the booking process.

  6. How do I travel to University of Warwick?
    Information about how to get to the venue including public transport, cycling, walking and driving can be found here

  7. What is the charge for parking on campus?
    Parking is available for free for annual conference delegates. You must register your vehicle in advance of arrival to access free parking through this link. Click book on the conference parking tile, enter the dates parking is required and enter this promo code in the promo code box, and click apply: Agtconf.

  8. Is there a taxi rank on campus?
    Taxis are available within the Bus Interchange next to Warwick Arts Centre at most times of the day. Alternatively, you can contact Conference Reception on 024765 28910 for more information and relevant phone numbers.

  9. What will happen if any speakers must isolate and are unable to attend?
    Should any speakers have to self-isolate due to coronavirus, we will try to ensure they are able to present virtually through our event platform. Alternatively, where possible, we will provide a different speaker for the event. 

  10. When will the full programme be announced?
    The full programme will be available from July 2022, though we will share new information as early as possible once confirmed. 

  11. What will happen if new Government restrictions prevent OR64 from taking place?
    Please refer to our COVID-19 Policy which will provide further details around the booking process options should there be more coronavirus restrictions implemented.

  12. What is the process if I need to cancel my ticket due to testing positive for coronavirus?
    You can view the COVID-19 cancellation policy for this event here. 

  13. Can I still network with delegates before and after the event?
    Yes, you can still network with delegates both before and after the event through our event platform app which will launch in June. Following the event, you will be able to access the app features for 30 days. 

  14. Can I amend my ticket details after purchase?
    You can amend ticket details up to 3 weeks prior to the event by logging in to your eventsair account until registration closes. Any amendments which incur an additional cost must be paid in full prior to the event to guarantee attendance.

  15. Will there be WiFi available at the venue?
    Yes, Wi-Fi is available and complimentary throughout campus, the name of the network is Warwick Guest. You will be required to sign up/set up an account to access the Wi-Fi. 

  16. How will I be alerted to any changes to the programme?
    Any amendments to the programme prior to the event will be communicated to delegates by email until at least 2 weeks prior the event when notifications will be sent via the app. Changes made on the day such as speaker or timing changes will be sent via an app alert and through announcements at the venue, where possible. 

  17. Are religious services available on campus?
    A chaplaincy is available to all University visitors. Further information can be found on the chaplaincy website.To gain access to the Chaplaincy, please ask at Conference Reception. 

  18. Is there a cash machine on campus?
    There is a cash machine outside Rootes Grocery Store.
